Hi, i’m Luiza!
I was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where I first learned to crochet as a child with my grandmother, Ileana. Today, I carry her vibrant spirit and the brazilian warmth into every piece I create in my home in Akureyri, in the north of Iceland.
When I’m not working as a barista in the best coffee shop in town, you’ll usually find me on my couch with an audiobook or a vinyl record, working on a new crochet project. I also spend a lot of time tending to my plants or experimenting in the kitchen — I believe in slow food as much as I believe in slow fashion.
I have a deep love and respect for nature and the universe around us. For me, creating by hand is a way to slow down and stay mindful, choosing quality and care over the rush of the modern world. I hope my pieces bring a little bit of that calm but also joyful vibe into your own home.
